The dynamic duo behind Dorya is the husband-and-wife team of F. Doruk Yorgancioglu, the company’s CEO, and Megan Perry, Designer and Creative Director.
The couple’s fresh, sophisticated approach can be seen, not only in their chic products and many showrooms, but most importantly, in their attitude toward the industry with a philosophy that the pursuit of style is a way of life. “We offer a high-end product that doesn’t simulate quality, it delivers it in every detail,” Yorgancioglu says. “We’re here to remind the high-end designer that superior craftsmanship is alive and well.”
Doruk and Megan met in Washington, DC, where both attended George Washington University, and their studies reflected their future roles in the company. “My wife oversees designs, and I handle the operations,” explains Doruk. “We are both very self-directed and enthusiastic about our area of the company, and we try not to interfere too much with each other’s domain.”
The pair, who splits time between Miami, Turkey and the rest of the world, are constantly traveling for business and inspiration. “We believe our product lines have a sophistication that can only come from the influences outside the industry.” Perry Says.
The 30 year old global brand was introduced to the US market with a launch party given by Architectural Digest Magazine during the April 2010 International Home Furnishings Market, and has been profiled in Florida Design Magazine; featured in Architectural Digest Magazine, Miami Home and Decor Magazine, Interior Design Magazine, Robb Report, and thehome.com. With several showrooms in Turkey, as well as multiple international vendors, Dorya already boasts a world-wide reputation for design excellence and superior craftsmanship.
The couple continues to ignite the high-end designer as they elevate sophistication with fresh and innovative style. Within the last year the couple has been nominated for a Pinnacle award, will debut a new mirror category, and introduce 20 new custom finishes at the High Point Fall market. Look for a new carpet and lighting category to join the brand line-up in 2012.
The Dorya Showroom is located in High Point at 200 Steele Street, Suite 144.
