Dorya's Trinity Sideboard is Nominated for the Pinnacle Design Achievement Award by ASFD
Dorya, the luxury furniture and interiors brand, has received a Pinnacle Design Achievement nomination under the Occasional Storage category for Trinity Sideboard from the American Society of Furniture Designers (ASFD). “We are very honored by this prestigious nomination,” says Doruk Yorgancioglu, Dorya’s CEO.
Trinity Sideboard, designed by husband and wife duo Doruk Yorgancioglu and Megan Perry, exhibits the glamorous luxurious style of modernism. “It defiantly has a wow factor to it, say Megan Perry Creative Director for Dorya. “I love to watch people’s first reaction when they see it.” The veneers are unique and inlaid in an intricate sunburst pattern, and the contrast between the darker and lighter woods gives the piece a dramatic effect. All the brass hardware accents are custom made showcasing the brands superior craftsmanship.
This distinction marks Dorya’s second Pinnacle Design Achievement Nomination. Dorya introduced Mybar at High Point’s April 2010 market which marked the brands debut into the United States. “The Pinnacle Awards provide our industry the opportunity to recognize the work of talented designers. For almost 17 years they have been the preeminent way to honor individuals and companies who create, support, and encourage originality of thought and design innovation,” says ASFD president, Dudley Moore, Jr., of Otto & Moore, Inc. in High Point. Winners will be revealed at the Pinnacle Awards Banquet on October 15 during the International Home Furnishings Market.
